“Cantabrian” and “sustainable” do not mean the same thing. The first refers to origin; the second requires verifiable evidence about fishing and the supply chain. A respected origin does not automatically give every pack a certification.
Origin, processing and sale
A product may describe the sea it comes from, where it was processed and the name of the business selling it. These details serve different purposes. To understand the supply chain, read the label and seek clarification when a description relies only on general expressions such as “artisan quality”.
Traceability helps connect a pack to an operator and batch. It is not the same as a promise about flavour or environmental certification, but it is concrete information worth keeping after opening, especially if transferring the product to another container.
What a certification mark means
MSC documents a Cantabrian anchovy fishery certified under its standard. This does not mean that every anchovy from that sea, or every product mentioning it, can be presented as certified. Verification must concern the particular pack and supply chain.
Consult the MSC profile of the Cantabrian anchovy fishery for context on the programme. We do not attribute the mark here to the Magno products mentioned: any certification must be checked in the documentation for the individual product.

How to assess the answers
A precise answer identifies the product and the document it refers to. A generic photograph of a fishing boat or a sentence about clean seas does not replace that information. You do not need to become an expert in every certification system: simply distinguish documented evidence from suggestion.
Consumption also deserves attention
Choosing suitable quantities and handling the pack well avoids household waste. This is a practical behaviour, separate from assessing the fishery. It does not make a product certified, but helps you avoid buying more than you can use according to its instructions.
Decide how many occasions you are planning for.
Choose a format suited to those occasions.
Read the after-opening conditions.
Keep the batch details and packaging information.
For a concrete comparison, explore the 50 g Silver Series or the 000 fillets. If certification is a purchasing requirement for you, ask for confirmation about the particular product before ordering. This is the clearest way to choose in line with your priorities.
